But you can listen to mic to determine on ambient noise - just a few seconds maybe, or even after first gentle ringtone, and then adjust ringtone volume accordingly (pat. pend. jOERG ;) Also you can check the *echo* of the ringtone to decide whether you're in a silent room, in a pocket, under open sky... (pat. pend. jOERG ;) /j
