It seems faster to me than the 2007.02 image. Maybe some of the apps are more tightly-written. But screen displays are slow, and loading an app takes forever no matter which distro. I'd imagine that any distro that doesn't use X (i.e. Qtopia on FrameBuffer) would be much faster. > > On Thu, Jul 24, 2008 at 10:50 PM, Ken Restivo <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> wrote: > > On Thu, Jul 24, 2008 at 01:10:05PM -0700, Katrin Tomanek wrote: > >> > >> Hi, > >> > >> I am new to OM and just received my new FR a couple of hours ago. > >> I've been playing around with different distributions/images and am now > >> wondering which distribution you guys prefer, use, and/or recommend: > >> - OM2007.2 > >> - ASU > >> - FSO > >> - Qtopia > >> > >> Actually, I tried all of the above ones (most recent versions/snapshots) > >> except FSO.
