Christopher,

As I understand it, your cellphone network provider routinely updates 
hardware and software in their system. As a result of this, occasionally 
older SIM cards may not function.

I am told that this is somewhat routine, and that when this happens 
network providers simply provide a new SIM card.

Thus we recommend that you contact your provider (NorthState), and 
request a replacement SIM card.

Before you discard your old SIM card please update our database at 
http://wiki.openmoko.org/wiki/FreeRunner_unable_to_work_with_3G_SIM_cards. 
Then, when you get the new SIM card, please indicate whether this new 
SIM card solved the problem.
