Maybe you are interested in helping debian pkg-e team in making official packages? The issues are: - large package base, and extremely low manpower in the team; - constant API breakages in e libs, not handled properly by upstream - so library packages have to be renamed, and upgrade paths provided. - debian/ dirs in e svn just ignore issues, so can't be useful
