For my 8 day bike trip I took 2 spare Nokia batteries. The whole set of batteries lasted ~ 5 days of occasional GPS and GSM usage. If it's ok for you to swap batteries once in a while, it might be a better choice. That said, I'm also looking for a device like MintyBoost.
