ACGA has been an active participant in a broad coalition of like-minded
organizations who are developing a platform that would have the Farm Bill
supporting community gardens.  It would be great is some ACGA members and

Northeast regional educational forum and networking event

Center (FRAC), Food Change, Community Food Security Coalition, Sustainable 
Agriculture Coalition, The Northeast Sustainable Agriculture Working Group, 
NYC Nutrition Education Network, NYC Coalition Against Hunger, National 
Family Farm Coalition, World Hunger Year (WHY), Oxfam America, Bread for the

World, and Small Planet Institute.

The Farm Bill isn't just about farming. It is our most important piece of 
agricultural legislation, covering issues of Federal food and nutrition 
programs, commodity subsidies, rural development, environmental 
sustainability, international trade, food access and food security.

Our Goal is to

.       Help people understand the Farm Bill and its components

.       Develop increased awareness about how the Farm Bill affects all of 
us
.       Enable people to take action and get people involved in making 
change

There will be plenty of opportunity to network at organization tables, meet 
other professionals, learn why the Farm Bill is important, and what you can 
do to make a difference!!!
