You and your gardeners are safe under those "power" lines. Supposedly the myth was started in England years ago and the claim was people living/working under "power" lines were contracting certain forms of cancer at a much higher rate than general population. That was not case, did not happen. you can google for more info. and definitive studies if you like to ascertain the veracity.
