Hi all, I'm new to this forum to pardon me if I've asked something you've
discussed in detail before. I live in a small town (300) and some have
expressed an interest in starting a community garden with the rather lofty goal
of trying to produce enough food to feed ourselves. Due to potential space
issues, and the desire to attempt to grow as much food as possible, I'm
personally going to try the french intensive method of gardening this summer as
an experiment. Has anyone tried this (I did buy the book published by ecology
action) and have any advice on whether it really works, etc? On the face of it,
if you can acquire or make enough compost, you should be able to grow much more
food in a smaller footprint.
And my goodness, Mike McG from the old OG days? My hero!
