Hi, Folks!

I've been asked to post my list once it's complete - right now, I have 4
community gardens on public housing/Housing Authority land. If you know of
any others, get them to me by May 25th. Unfortunately, city-owned land
doesn't count - after the dog park, the Borough knows I can mobilize folks
and would be inclined to let the garden continue if they had any land to
give me, but they don't. So, we have to convince our audience that WE are
reasonable and the Housing Authority isn't! ;-)

I have an e-mail list of 100 people who want updates on our community garden
- so I'm going to post the list there as well as here so that the
well-connected folks at the Housing Authority get told by other folks on my
list "but other communities have both public housing and community gardens."
I have a Phoenixville Planning Commission member and the State Senator's
Chief of Staff at this meeting also - if I have models, they will both run
with them

Does anyone know anything about Chicago public housing? I thought Heifer
Project was actually running livestock farms on some of them - the church
fears me getting livestock, but the examples will make our plant-based
garden look much more reasonable! ;-D

Thanks for the help so far! If you've got a lead, send it on to me!

Dorene
