Here are examples of Gateway Greening auction garden items called name dropper gardens from our fund raiser, Chefs in a Garden. Names of prominent designers, experts from the Missouri Botanical Garden, top nurseries all donated. We usually make around $600 - $700 per garden. Winner must prepare soil for planting, designer lays out the plants, winner plants. Must make that very clear or you are in for a lot of work.
Last year the auction expanded to a few, no more than 10, live auction items mostly non-gardening items, motor scooter brought in 2k, golf lesson with star pro, $1,000, baseball/hotel packages, $600. We stay away from restaurant packages as our chefs all donate their time and ingredients to the main event. See our website for event description.
