<< The city of Harrisburg has some very nice lawns and yards unlike NYC. >> Actually, while the view that most of the world has of New York City is those tall buildings and parks in Manhattan, in the outer boroughs ( and in front of certain rich folks houses in Greenwich Village and the Upper East side, if you can believe it, are some very, very nice lawns and yard. On one block, in the East 40's in the Turtle Bay area near the UN, the late Katharine Hepburn's brownstone connected to other similar buildings by a communal yard and garden that I once visited, a number of years ago. More on Katharine Hepburn's private garden, and the public garden named for her in nearby Dag Hammarskjold Plaza, in the next "Community Gardener" Best wishes, Adam Honigman ______________________________________________________ The American Community Gardening Association listserve is only one of ACGA's services to community gardeners.
