The Gentleman in Salt Lake was Steve Upson who is with the Noble Foundation in Ardmore, Oklahoma. Steve has promoted raised bed gardening, community gardens and high tunnel growing for many years. His latest projects no longer feature tire lumber and, in fact, through the years he has looked at a number of bed wall materials. His articles on the Noble website _http://www.noble.org/Ag/Ag_staff/NF1~staff/Upson.htm_ (http://www.noble.org/Ag/Ag_staff/NF1~staff/Upson.htm) go into great detail on raised bed and hoop house construction. The Community Bootstrap Garden in Ardmore stands as a testament to the ingenuity of Steve and the teen gardeners who make it work. _http://www.noble.org/Ag/Horticulture/YouthGardens/index.htm_ (http://www.noble.org/Ag/Horticulture/YouthGardens/index.htm) All the best, John Village Green Community Garden Norman, OK
