There is an outfit called White Buffalo that municipalities can hire to do a controlled bow hunt with the harvest donated to food pantries. It sets off the predictable controversy at first but when the problem matures into a thems er us, towns swear by their results.

According to FBI statistics, there are an awful lot of firearms discharged within the city of Pittsburgh....;) but no, I'm not for discharges of firearms in heavily populated areas. But there is always "animal control," Best wishes, Adam Honigman -----Original Message----- From: [EMAIL PROTECTED] To: [EMAIL PROTECTED] Sent: Wed, 18 May 2005 03:19:17 +0000 Subject: [cg] Blow away Bambi???? Interesting strategy, but...not likely to elicit a positive response from government game wardens around the country. Can't speak for the more southerly states but hunting seasons in the upper Midwest are generally in November, long after the garden is put to bed. In some cities, Pittsburgh for example, deer routinely wander around the city. Surely you're not suggesting discharging a firearm within the city limits, are you??
