ACGA: Our bus tour thus far has been quite magical. We've crossed paths in real-life with many community gardeners.
And we want to see you next! So, here are the TENTATIVE DATES for TheWhoFarm's amazing journey from now through the November election. We are driving across the country in our food-producing TheWhoFarmMobile...spreading the word of our petition and and collecting voices that collectively say "We, the people, respectfully request that an organic farm be planted on the grounds of The White House, at 1600 Pennsylvania Ave, Washington, DC." (And if you haven't already signed, we're live at http://www.TheWhoFarm.org -- tell your neighbors, tell your friends.) Tentative Tour Dates for TheWhoFarm Los Angeles Sept 16-21 Sedona, AZ Sept 23-24 Flagstaff, AZ Sept 25-26 Albuquerque/Santa Fe Sept 27-Oct 2 Austin, TX Oct 3-6 New Orleans, LA Oct 7-10 Birmingham, AL Oct 11-12 Atlanta / Athens, GA Oct 13 -15 Asheville, NC Oct 16-17 REST STOP Oct 18-19 New York City Oct 20-Nov 1 Washington, DC Nov 2-10 We believe locals are the best qualified to help us coordinate our visits in advance of our arrival, during our stay, and even afterwards. We want to spread our message to as many people as possible along our whistle stop tour. All of our dates are not set in stone and we can make minor modifications on locations, dates and stops along the route. If we are coming through your town or nearby, and you wish to help, we could use the following assistance: -Ideas for places to visit (schools for kids of all ages, farms, community gardens, churches, fairs, markets, city halls, festivals and other big events.) Please keep in mind that prominent places for us to park the bus always helps, and that at 25 feet long, TheWhoFarmMobile takes up two parking spaces. -Organization of fundraisers for TheWhoFarm (i.e. benefit dinners or concerts, contests, bake sales, or any other inspired ideas) -Volunteers who are willing to meet us and help collect signatures for our petition. (Ideally, one volunteer could coordinate 5 or 6 more for an event.) -Outreach and/or connections to media contacts in your area.
