To answer your question about native American herbs, etc., there is a
wonderful book on the subject called "Indian Herbalogy of North America" by
Alma R. Hutchens published by Shambhala of Boston and London. ISBN
O-87773-639-1 (pbk.:alk. paper) Perhaps you could get your local library to
find you a copy. I have one but I don't loan out my books.

Hi everyone. This season the YWCA Family Center Growing Home Community
Garden is planting several different culturally themed gardens. Two of
the cultures represented in these gardens, Latin American and Native
American, have incorporated herbal medicine into their culture, a facet
I would like to include in our gardens. However, I am having trouble
finding resources that list specific herbs planted and what they were
used for. Does anyone have any suggestions on where to look to find this
information? If it makes any difference we are in zone 5b.
