Dear All,

The founders of Sweet Water Organics are hoping to recruit experienced,
hands-on, historic roof system artisan/contractors interested in urban
agriculture/aquaponics training and/or development opportunities.

The Sweet Water Organics experiment in commercial scale aquaponics in a
re-purposed factory building

was made possible by

*a first-ever profit of $30,000 at the end of 2008, when not many companies
were showing a profit
*a network of artists and artisans who offered up thousands of dollars worth
of labor gratis or at below market rates
*the inspiration of Will Allen and his Growing Power team

The enterprise whose year end surplus sparked this adventure was Community
Roofing and Restoration, Inc., founded back in 1974 in hopes of
stimulating Mondragon like, worker owned artisinal shops, with Community
serving as a "support corporation," following Jaraslov Vanek's "Toward a
Self-Managed Industrial Sector in the USA." Here is an old essay that
captures these concepts:

Here is the most recent web platform for Community:

Please let your friends with such resources know of our interest.

Sincerely,

James J. Godsil, President
Community Roofing & Restoration, Inc.
co-founder Sweet Water Organics and
the Sweet Water Foundation
