Pat,
You should try for the Henry County tour. I think Glenda and the folks
at Community Gardens of Henry County http://henrygardens.com/ would be
of great interest to you. There is a combination of some limited county
funding, with multiple community garden projects that are either
un-funded, land use only, or currently under negotiation.

Also, look for anyone from Park Pride Atlanta, especially Walt Ray who
is hosting the Thursday evening event. He could speak volumes.

See you soon,
-fgc

Subject: [Community_garden] Meet at conference

I am coming to my first conference in Atlanta. I would like to meet up
with folks who are developing community garden systems with moral
support from city governments but no $ because of budgets. I would like
to learn how you organized, interact with government, gain funding and
build gardens all at the same time. I will be staying at the main hotel
arriving on Thursday
