Mrs. Meyer’s Clean Day and ACGA recognizes that community gardening improves people’s quality of life and can provide a catalyst for neighborhood and community development. We recognize that people who come together to build community gardens demonstrate values that are central to Mrs. Meyer’s Clean Day. Such individuals are generous in spirit, hard-working and inspired to build community in their neighborhoods. We celebrate their efforts. Gardens inspire Mrs. Meyer’s Clean Day and guide our product scents. We support ACGA’s mission to build community by increasing and enhancing community gardening and greening across the United States and Canada. In support of ACGA’s mission, and to support sustainable community gardening efforts, Mrs. Meyer’s Clean Day and ACGA are pleased to announce the 2013 Mrs. Meyer’s Clean Day Grow Inspired Garden Grant Program. One garden in each of four communities – New York City, Washington D.C., San Francisco and Portland – will be selected to receive a grant award of $4,000 apiece along with other gardening support this year.
