Hi: In our community garden we send one email out a week to let gardeners know we will be harvesting any unpicked, usable harvest that is not picked on xxx day by xxx time and selling it to local restaurants whose funds are then put back into the garden budget, or donating them to our kids' produce cart for sale, the proceeds of which go back into our youth program budget. Never had one problem or complaint when we've done that.
