Philipp, 2.3 has been released to the wild, so all hosting companies should be making it available soon. The only limitation that they would be putting on you from freezing to edge is that it may go over your file system allotment. There are MANY low cost hosts that give you enough space to freeze to edge. I highly recommend finding one. I like RailsPlayground. Their support is top notch and I have a couple of sites with them.
