Try to logout before resetting the database... Just a guess...

Also, unit testing should be a first line of defense for testing. I
only bring it up because I know it will save you time. Unit testing
does a database reset for you every time without having to worry about
cookies :-) If you are already doing unit testing and I am preaching
to the choir, my apologies.

If you don't know how to do unit testing, spend the time to read up on
it. I promise it will save you time in the long run.
