Sure. My sites are deployed on EC2 with Passenger. I just started with a
base Ubuntu AMI and installed things as needed, but I think depress might be
easier for some people: http://deprec.failmode.com/
Installing Postfix on ubuntu is easy (apt get install postfix). Here's a
post on how to configure it for EC2 use:
