I don't follow. It's a blog; the posts are just paginated, they never
disappear from the site.

Probably; it's just a Rails app after all. You could easily write or adapt
another app to pull in the content you've created on CE.

Nothing I can think of. You'll just have to do some data-wrangling to get
the posts in the database into whatever format is needed for the new CMS.
