Hey All, I didn't forget about this idea .. just got a little behind on things.
Bruno and I are scoping out Monday April 26th @ 6pm PST. The whole event would last roughly an hour and a half depending on how active the Q/A session becomes. We could also use another speaker to present for 10-15 mins, about anything on their mind. Their site, custom CE work, running a successful online business or any topic. Any one up to helping? For everyone else... stay tuned for a face-book announcement! James -------------------- (OLD POST) I had this idea yesterday as I considered my stalled CE project. What I need is inspiration… success stories… notes from those of you out there who are so far ahead of me. So my idea – why not bring the community together in a much more interactive way; why not plan a CE users conference?! Right Vegas, the Hard Rock Hotel? Bruno-gone-wild after rounds of vodka shots!! You get the picture right? Haha I kid… While that would be great to see and could someday be a reality… why don’t we start small and cheap. Lets think of the 1st annual CE user’s conference, as a 2-3 hour virtual meeting of the minds. We can use a site like DimDim to host a webinar where CE newbies and pros alike could come present and learn on a variety of topics and interactive Q&A sessions. With that said, my next task is to gauge the overall interest within the CE community. Here’s what I need to know: Are you interested? What would be a great topic? Can I talk you into presenting on a topic for 15-20 mins? Would a Saturday or Sunday afternoon work best for everyone or a weeknight ? How’s late Jan or early Feb sound for everyone? Have any interest in helping me organize it? To help sweeten the idea, Bruno’s said he’d give away a free CE plug- in to a lucky conference participant!
