Hello everyone, first off I have to (belatedly) give a HUGE thanks to
Bruno for having come to the rescue for a group whose CE hosting was
going away. He stepped in at the last minute when I realized I was in
way over my head, as I am a complete Ruby, Rails, and CE newbie. He
got everything moved off the old server and up and running on Heroku
in just a few hours, and I didn't have to do a thing (other than set
up Heroku and S3 accounts). I'm sure it doesn't need to be heard from
me that Bruno rocks, everyone already knows.

Unfortunately, sometime late Saturday or early yesterday the website's
homepage stopped appearing. The site is still there, as I can log into
it if I go directly to the login link (or, it seems, any other direct
link). I'm hoping this is a simple thing that happens from time to
time, and can be fixed by just, uh, I don't know... restarting the
app? Which I don't know how to do. I mean, I don't even have a clue
about how to begin troubleshooting this.

The most difficult part is that my own user account in our CE site
does not have admin permissions. The original hoster told me there is
a "rake task" for giving an existing user admin rights, but he wasn't
sure exactly how it goes, and I don't know anything about running
"rake tasks". So if that's going to be needed before I can start
working on this, I guess I'll need to ask what the rake task is and
how to run it so I can give myself admin capabilities.

Thanks in advance.

(PS Bruno I'm sorry and I know how this looks poor that I only got
around to singing your praises when it turned out I need help again.)
