thanks pickle for the ethernet/appletalk idea... sounds really complicated
though, and i'd have to get another mac here to get it to work. i've never
had much luck working chooser, never mind seting up a network!
however alternatives i can see are
1. getting a null modem cable connection working - which is supposed to be
dead easy, yet... i find that hard to believe.
2. access to a mac with a normal floppy drive, get files from PC, to mac,
to 1.4mb-800kmac formatted disk.
BUT would a normal powermac floppy drive, be able to read a disk i've
formatted in my SE?
IOMEGA ZIP DRIVERS
i only need to do the above once, to get iomega drivers onto the machine.
http://members.nbci.com/macdrivers/
anyone feel like assuring me that the Iomega Zip Driver v4.2 (48 k) really
does work
"on a Mac+ up if installed manually into system."
i can only assume, installing manually means dragging it to the systems or
extensions folder...?
IIci GAMES
last question! can older games, such as for the IIci work on a System 6 SE?
