I've never run into any problems decoding HQX files with StuffIt 5.5, which 
has worked for me on my Classic running 7.1 and 7.5.5

I don't think HQX will change anytime soon as it's just the binhex standard 
that goes way back.

As for the SIT format change, I don't know of any changes since version 5. 
Logically it would be silly to stuff 68k software with a version of 
DropStuff that doesn't run on 68ks, so even if the format does change in 
the future I don't forsee a major problem.
