A 486 versus a 68000 is no contest, I'm afraid. While arguably 
superior to an 8086, and still holding its own very well against a 
286, you really can't expect the Classic to do what the 486 can. 
There is just too much of a generation gap.

Probably the only way to get Yahoo mail on your Classic is to use 
Eudora with the Yahoo POP 3 option.  That should work easily.  You 
will not need an Internet browser at all, just an early email client.

Otherwise, try MacWeb (not MacWWW) with System 7.1, but I have no 
idea if that will work with Yahoo.
