What OS are you running? I've generally gotten this error when I'm running 
Multifinder on System 6 or any System 7. Dark Castle doesn't seem to like 
System 7 on a Plus, though oddly enough I got it running quite well without 
sound on 8.1 using Basilisk II set to 512x384 black and white. Kind of odd.
