>With a Turbo040 or with a Turbo601? >-Tyler I noticed that the DayStar SE30 adapter on eBay said it was compatible with DayStar PowerCache. Strictly speaking wouldn't that limit it to the 030 accelerators? And incompatible with Turbo040 and Turbo601? Although Apple says in developer notes that IIsi and SE30 PDS slots are identical, we know that they are not for no other reason than the clock speeds are different. The (16 MHz) timing in the SE30 may be too sloppy to permit use of DayStar universal accelerators in SE30 with IIsi adapter. Maybe the DayStar PDS adapter that was designed specifically for the SE30 has unique timing design to accommodate the timing in the SE30. Maybe that's what that extraa chip is for. In digital design timing is everything. Gamba <http://home.earthlink.net/~gamba2> -- Compact Macs is sponsored by <http://lowendmac.com/> and...
