Hi all, After attempting to install 7.5.3 on my SE/30, the macine failed to reboot. I would get as far as the "Welcome to Macintosh" screen and then everything froze. Replacing the hard drive with a known good one produced the same result. Hooking up an external hard drive (even with the internal completely disconnected) faired no better. After disconnecting the SCSI and power cables to the hard drive I managed to get it started on a System 7 Disk Tools floppy. Is there a motherboard problem somewhere? What am I missing here? That's what I get for "upgrading" the System software from 7.1 to 7.5.x. Replies can be off-list if need be (I am in Digest mode). Thanks!
