Actually, Marten, I only wrote "yes".
The startup timing of a Plus is delayed by the period it takes to get
from the bong and diagonal gray striped screen, to the smooth gray screen
with the arrow at the top left, and then the beginning-to-finalized grinding
of the floppy disk.
If you're suffering extra-long delay, suspect a bad RAM chip. I inherited a
Compaq 286 from a good buddy that took a full ten minutes to begin boot
sequence. I replaced all the RAM and event though a couple of the chips are
4 MB size, mixed with one MB size, it boots the moment the power is applied.
