After I added OT 1.1.2 and OT/PPP 1.0 to 7.5.4 it crashed on every boot. It occured just after the progress bar started in the Mac OS window. Booting with extensions off always worked.
Then I deleted all (3 MB) of the PPC code. It's been working fine ever since. But it's too soon to draw any conclusions.
