few loose ends <

Thanks Stuart, I guess it's been a couple of months since I'd last browsed
through your site. I did recall that you were working on some kind of SE/30
grayscale project, but I had certainly overlooked the bit about the LC 475.

I also heard from the seller, and he pretty much confirmed the details. The
German site was quite informative (and Google translate works much better
there then the Japanese site).

So I picked up an SE earlier today ($3USD at a local disassembler ...lord
only knows if anything in it works in it at all - it was missing the logic
board, which at least makes it a guiltless hatchet project ...the chassis
was all there and the case is pretty clean though) to use PRIOR to reading
the German hacker's recommendation to use a Classic II core instead ...he
apparently seemed to think it was more suitable. Any comments?

He also seemed to be recommending the use of a "regular" 9" VGA display,
instead of the internal CRT core: comments?

Last ...I also came across a Japanese site (Nextro?) that appeared to have
10.5" TFT display in SE cases: can anyone point me to more information on
that hack?

TIA.
