I forget 7.0.1.'s character, whether or not you see the loading extensions aka 7.1. If you DO, then an extension appears, with a small lock on it, and it's animated to look like it's locking while that extension loads. It's an easy fix. If you see NO locking extension, then the answer is to boot with an external HD attached, using a boot floppy, and start the Classic II. Go get the parts of Foolproof, get info on each, unlock each one, set it on the desktop. Two extensions, one control panel and a folder in the Prefs file all have to be unlocked thru get info. Not Foolproof? Boot from the floppy with the extrenal attached. remove and discard the finder, and remove and trash the system file. Use the external hard drive to install a non-locked version of System and Finder. Some locking software will not allow changes, even when booted from separate drives.You won't see the drive when you try to boot from another device.
