I'm not sure if this helps but the toast image is just a plain Macos disk image, i am able to access it using mac-fdisk/pdisk mounting the gunzip'ed image file using loopback on linux.
you should be able to copy the individual partitions (there are 4 useful partitions. 1: Partition Map 2: The Apple driver partition 3: HFS partition with Macos 20M 4: Apple_UNIX_SVR2 AUX Slice 144Mb 5: Apple_UNIX_SVR2 Swap Slice (why???) 12Mb 6: Apple_UNIX_SVR2 Root & /usr Slice 134Mb 7: Free Space 95Mb Or you might just be able to block-copy the image onto a free Hard disk (if you have one) as the partition table should be complete (although i don't know what happens when the partition map doesn't match the disc size in Macos) I Have no idea why the install CD Rom would have a Swap partition on it.. thats just silly. Also not sure what the role of the Macos Partition is. owen On Thu, 2002-05-02 at 14:48, Eagle wrote: > On Thursday, May 2, 2002, at 02:39 , Tyler Punky Smith wrote: > >> well, mr pickler, once again won't hurt and this time I'll be sure > >> to get it, www.archaicapples.com does not work and please note I do > >> not use condescending language. > >> An Apple a day..... > > > > it's www.archaic-apples.com, and let's lay off each other. jeez. > > > > On another note, I'm installing A/UX on my SE/30 as we speak. > > Excellent.
