I have a feeling that those drives used to make up a 4 gigabyte Boxhill RAID 0 (or maybe a 3GB RAID 5?) that was pretty fast at the time. Boxhill is a company that makes hardware controlled RAID boxes. I dunno who made the drives, but I'm gonna guess quantum, 'cuz their drives are usually slow and quiet. -Tyler -- Compact Macs is sponsored by <http://lowendmac.com/>.
