A few days ago, Vern pointed out to me that one difference between 7.1 and 7.5 is that 7.1 doesn't have Stickies. Then, Pickle emailed me stating that Windowshade and Apple Menu CPs could be moved from 7.5 to 7.1 and run fine. So while I was moving those control panels over, I moved stickies as well. It kinda works. When you launch it, you get a warning saying that some functions may not work until the system is updated to 7.5 or something like that. I played around with it and was able write notes, save notes, and retrieve notes. Since this was on an SE/30, naturally I couldn't change the color of the notes. I don't have a serial printer to test if I could print notes. I didn't try to cut and paste to (or fro) stickies either. So, in a nutshell, try it Vern, you might like it.
Another thing I moved from 7.5 (7.6.1 actually) was the Shutdown desk accessory. It works on 7.1 as well. I figured it would since they included this with early Performas running 7.0 if I recall. I also added a shareware control panel called AutoMenus. This is a nice little program that pulls the menubar menus down whenever the pointer goes over them and keeps them down as long as the pointer is in the menubox. If you try this one out, be sure to register it if you plan on keeping it, as it brings up a dialog box during startup.
