Yeah, software compatibility would be the only hang-up. I've shared an Epson through OS 9's USB printer sharing feature to other OS 9 systems before, and I've also shared a Color StyleWriter 2400 (using the sharing feature in the drivers) from a 68K Mac running Sys 7.6.1 to G4s running OS 9.
