I think someone answered this question a while ago but I have since lost 
the message...

I have this SE FDHD and the floppy drive in it eats disks. It doesn't 
cause permanent damage to them as a Quadra 950 can reformat them to 
1.4MB format and then they work fine again. But almost every disk I put 
into the SE ends up getting a disk error. I reformat it, but then I get 
another error and it ejects it. I know floppies are flaky, but I don't 
remember them being this flaky! Any way I can fix it? I think I remember 
one person telling me that there was some device above or below the disk 
that wasn't working right or something.
