Well I've been called a moron on this list, this wont help defend me. :)
At about 13 I found I had a knack of getting things to work so the
annual hard rubbish collection was quite a good time. I'd carry all
sorts of junk home, after a bit of luck I had 3 old BnW's stacked on top
of each other working and only needed the 4th to get all the local
channels we had at the time.

Trying to remove the wire with the suction cup thats attached to the
tube while the power is on was a experience I dont wish repeated. After
finding myself on the floor propped against the wall, about 9 feet from
where I had been working I found my side numb before it became tingly
with the rest of me feeling battered. I don't remember burns.

No real earth and no real direct contact with the HV's exposed core are
the only reasons I can type this now. Amazing how far HV can arc. I
spend a bit of time tinkering where I really shouldn't though I exercise
much more care and have a healthy fear of flyback transformers. It's not
the voltage that kills you.
Moral, watch your kids. Torx screws are a good idea for HV electrical
 equipment.
