ARGGHHHH I think my postings are doomed -- That time the "cut" at the end didn't work
<sigh>.... I hate PC's...

Oh well -- at least the MAC gods are smiling:

Took the advice of this newsgroups exalted wizards and use the contact cleaner ALL
over the area around caps C4, C5, C6.... and voila -- the thing works.... As much as I
(an engineer with a minor in Electrical) really want to know WHY this worked, I don't
intend to anger those on high <grin>.... If it goes again, I will contact cleaner the
WHOLE board....

Thanks to all for their help.

First off -- sorry for the WTB -- should have gone to LEM-Swap but I'm a terrible
typist.... as you can see from the SE/20 in the subject <sigh>

Latest status:

Replaced the caps decoupling caps (figured that is what they were -- from +5 to GND)
with no difference

Put in a motherboard from a working SE/30 -- boots fine, so Power Supply and Analog
board are fine

Put in RAM and ROM-SIMM from other board -- bad board still gives weird pattern

Used a block to to press ROM-SIMM forward -- nada (but a cool idea)

Screamed and sacrificed several PC's with no luck.......

Will look at the other caps next...... Thanks for all the help though -- looks like
the RAM/ROM is still the place to look.
