for instance, from a recent log:
tcp port 58767,58952,51173,55420,58002,59810, etc. i also recall some
in the 4xxxx range before. doesn't seem to be any malignant activity,
and i've seen this on more than one site. one site that does it is
194.109.206.210 on ftp, a good site to check anyway (it's a mirror of a
good site, also accessible by http). i assume i'm not being probed, if
i am of course they should already know from the headers that it's a mac
and not a pc. i've been using interarchy for most of these downloads,
not that it should matter but it does produce a nice log with the
messages being passed back and forth, in this case slightly clever ones
like "binary it is then" or "ascii taste funny".
