When it's been overheated like that the male pin might be corroded, a hard
oxidation I think. Scraping off corrosion doesn't seem to help
If all four pins look the same then it will probably be OK.
But if a male pin has a different lustre than the others than it may have
to be replaced.
Sometimes there's a shortcut that will work, (after resoldering the analog
board):
i.e. remove the mating female pin from the yoke harness connector and
squeeze the pin's ears in so that it will fit a lot tighter on the male pin.
The female pin can be removed by inserting two small sewing needles so that
they retract the pins two retainer tabs.
