I don't have an opinion on it, as I am neither experienced at chess, 
nor have I tried the other games, but another Chess program for the 
Mac is called "Chess Mates".  It's by Brainstorm.    I think I bought 
my copy through MacPlay when they closed out their stock and quit the 
Mac business a few years back.
