I've got a question regarding my SE/30 and its external HD (Jasmine DirectDrive 20- now it's a 1.2 Gig). The external drive makes quite a bit of highpitched noise. I'm thinking it the power supply, but if it's not...
Is there a way to put the external drive to "sleep" as in spin down when it's not used for a period of time? If so, I can change my startup disk to the internal (40M) HD and put the more used programs on it. This might eliminate some of the whine. TIA, J White Buy American S.O.S.
