Well, I installed it in a different SE, and I am unhappy to report that it did the exact same thing, works without the accelerator, but as soon as I plug it in, all I get is a grey screen, nothing more. At least I am fairly sure that the accelerator card never worked as long as I have had it, and it was not caused by something I did.
