I have an LC 520. Actually I have many LC 520s, but I'm talking about a particular one.
I updated some software on it the other day, and the hard disk went down. So I pulled an identical hard drive (well, near-identical) from another LC 5xx machine, and put it in. And I tried adding some software. That hard drive went down, too. (Question-mark error at start-up.) Are these two hard drive failures coincidents or is something else going on? Can a motherboard destroy hard drives? curiously, - t "I know . . . I know . . . I use too many ellipses. . . ." -- Compact Macs is sponsored by <http://lowendmac.com/>.
