Anyway, I ordered some and the interesting thing is the board that comes with the CRT. It has a BU406 transistor, and a high-frequency 3.9 uF 25V capacitor, etc. If these little 9" security monitors predated the original Mac, I bet this is where Apple got most of the design for their original analog board.
So, I'm trying to figure out if I can use this Flyback transformer in a Compact or not. It doesn't seem to match any of the part numbers in Pina's list in the back of MRUS. The paper tag on the flyback has two numbers, KFB5002A and FMH-0945HL. I don't know which of those is the part number, though I'd guess the latter. Anyway, a Google search turned up no hits, and neither did searching at a couple of parts identifier web sites.
Do any of you have any information yay or nay on this flyback transformer, or general information that would help me decide. Given the similarity in this board and the Plus analog board components, I'm betting it's compatible.
With shipping I ended up paying about $30 each for the CRT and board which is a bit too much just for the CRT, I think, but if I got a usable new flyback out of it, then it's a decent deal.
