Jeff is right. I have two 6100/66 DOS machines, and the DOS 6/Windows 3.1combo runs very smoothly, due to the fact that actual hardware is present. You should probably look into one of these.

Hello Compactors

I am looking for the neccessary software to emulate
DOS 6.22 on my SE. Is there any such thing? I also
have the original program disks to Windows 3.11
(gasp!) and was wondering if that would work as well.
Can such a thing run on an SE with a FDHD? I think
they should.

If anyone could point me in the right direction for
this I would appreciate it.

Jake

An earlier version of DOS, probably, say 2.0 or 3...
There was a PC 5-1/4 inch disk drive and card set for Compacts.

But if you crave Windows 3 and DOS 6 on your Mac, then a PowerMac
with a version of Virtual PC, or a DOS card that has an 80286 or
Pentium CPU onboard is your target.

I run VPC 4 and Windows 98 on my G3/466 and it's still slow as molasses.
